My Favorite Artists of All Time

I thought it would be a good idea to go over my favorite artists of all time and why I like them so much. Feel free to let me know if my music taste sucks or who your favorite artists are. I’m willing to bet my lists is better tho 😊

10) Digga D

Starting off this list is an artist you probably haven’t heard of. Digga D is a U.K based rapper from West London, and he slides into the 10 spot because he introduced me to the grime and rawness of U.k drill. Despite being 23 years old, he’s already taken the drill scene by storm and hasn’t even reached his peak.

Favorite Songs: No diet, Woi, P4DP, Toxic, Chingy

9) The Beatles

Of course, the Fab Four were going to be on my list. Started by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and later joined by Ringo Star, The Beatles dominated the 60s and went on to become the highest selling artists of all time. What I love about The Beatles is how simple their lyrics can be, yet vividly paint you a picture with them.

Favorite Songs: Yesterday, Hey Jude, A Day In The Life, Blackbird, Help!

8) Queen

MAMMAAAAAAAAAAA OOOHHHHHHH. We all love queen, and if you don’t, what are you even doing lmaoo. Roger Taylor could bang drums, John Deacon was a killer bass, and Brian May could do riffs that would make Jesus tear up. But let’s be honest, the heart of the whole operation was Freddie Mercury. Freddies voice reached new heights, in terms of range and emotion.

Favorite Songs: Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Radio Ga Ga, I Want it All, Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure

7) Ariana Grande

All of our crushes since she was on Victorious tbh. The ponytail queen can hit the highest of whistle notes and the lowest of lows. The only thing she can’t do is dance, but that’s ok, we can’t have everything in life. For a career spanning over 15 years, she has grown a lot musically and personally. She never hesitates to share her feelings in a song and in my opinion, those turn out to be her best ones.

Favorite Songs: Bad Idea, God is a woman, Focus, Into You, Problem

6) Lady Gaga

Although I have known of Lady Gaga since I was a kid, I’ve only grown to be a fan of her music in the past 2 years. Her pop style often mixed with rock elements is way too catchy to not love. Discovered by Akon in 2008, she has sold over 429 million records, and starred in a few movie roles like House of Gucci, A STAR IS BORN, and the upcoming Joker 2. I also like her personality because she acts like how I would if I was a girl lmaoooo.

Favorite Songs: Bad Romance, Government Hooker, Just Dance, Million Reasons, Poker Face

5) NSYNC

The group that birthed JT and was in direct competition with backstreet boys in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I remember discovering NSYNC in the summer of 2017 and I never looked back. I don’t even know what makes them so good, just that they are. It was also interesting to find out that JT and JC were both on Mickey Mouse Club House together.

Favorite Songs: No Strings Attached, Bye Bye Bye, Tearin’ up My Heart, I Want You Back, It Makes Me Ill

4) Kanye West

Ah yes, Mr. troublemaker himself. Kanye has made nothing but classic music since he was discovered, and I don’t just mean songs where he is rapping. Producing songs like Takeover, Heart of the City, and Encore, Kanye’s talent is certainly not restricted to the mic. His IDGAF persona has landed him in some hot water as of late, but that cannot take away from his musical genius.

Favorite Songs: I Wonder, White Dress, Touch The Sky, Devil In A New Dress, God Is

3) Michael Jackson

No list would be complete without MJ. The king of pop is the epitome of good music and will be listed to and admired by people until the end of time. His insane dancing mixed with his extraordinary vocals turned him into the most popular celebrity of all time. Bro was literally making people pass out just by standing there.

Favorite Songs: Remember the Time, Get on the Floor, Smooth Criminal, Love Never Felt So Good, Man in the Mirror

2) Eminem

The reason I am a rap fan is because of this man right here. The lyricism is unmatched, and he has one of the craziest alter egos in all of music. After the release of the Slim Shady EP, he was discovered by Dr. Dre, which would lead to the creation of the most iconic rapper and producer duo in history. His highly controversial LP, and personal favorite of mine, The Marshall Mathers LP, broke the record for most first week sales for a rap album at 1.7 million, a record that will hold for decades.

Favorite Songs: Infinite, Without Me, Lose Yourself, Rabbit Run, Like Toy Soldiers

  1. Drake

And of course, coming in at number one, is the boy himself. I honestly can’t describe what his music has done for me and how much he has accomplished. With the most top 5 songs in history, soon to pass Michael Jackson as the single male artists with the most number ones, and over 180 million records sold, he is showing no signs of slowing down. From Degrassi to being the top music artist of our lifetime is quite an achievement in its own right.

Favorite songs: The Remorse, From Time, Tuscan Leather, 5 Am in Toronto, Over My Dead Body

I hope you enjoyed the lists and don’t forget to check out some of my other posts. Please don’t die or something. Byeee
